CD Davidson-Hiers is from a horse farm in swampy North Florida and graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Creative Writing and French. She worked four years at the Tallahassee Democrat - USAToday Network where she won awards for her work covering K12 education and COVID-19 state data. She serves as director of the Student NewsWatch and is a Story Producer with the Florida Center for Government Accoutability.

Max Chesnes

Max Chesnes is the environment reporter for Treasure Coast Newspapers, where he covers issues facing Lake Okeechobee, the St. Lucie River and Indian River Lagoon. Before reporting on the environment, Max covered the COVID-19 pandemic as TCPalm’s health and welfare reporter and reported on Hurricane Dorian’s impact on Marsh Harbour, Bahamas as a breaking news reporter.
